Julien Roy

I am a Ph.D student advised by Profs. Christopher Pal and Pierre-Luc Bacon.

I completed my Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering in 2017 at Polytechnique Montréal and my M.Sc in Machine Learning (fast-track) at Mila. During these degrees, I discovered myself a drive for machine learning through several projects including image classification, texture inpainting, language modeling, and reinforcement learning. I also had the chance to realise summer internships at the Los Alamos National Laboratory and Ubisoft Montréal. I am now a Ph.D. candidate, expecting to graduate in 2023. During the last few years, I have been working on Multi-Agent Reinforcement Learning, Imitation Learning and Constrained Reinforcement Learning.
