I am a postdoctoral fellow at MILA, working with Yoshua Bengio.
I was trained as a physicist (BSc/MSc in Physics at ETH Zurich), before working on brain-inspired models of computation during my PhD at the Institute of Neuroinformatics at ETH Zurich.
My current research interests are centered around
- Aspects of local computation and modularity in neural networks,
- Brain-inspired learning algorithms, particularly in the context of deep learning,
- Ultra low-power physical implementations of neural networks.
