Prepare and Apply

Ready to apply for MSc or PhD supervision at Mila? To conduct research at Mila, you must be supervised by a Mila-affiliated professor. To help you connect with potential advisors, Mila hosts an annual Supervision Request process, from October 15 to December 1. Submitting your profile gives you direct visibility among professors actively selecting new student-researchers for the upcoming academic year.

These targeted sessions help you navigate the application steps and answer your specific questions.

Upcoming Virtual Information and Q&A Sessions

Ask your questions and get answers directly from a Mila academic advisor.

  • October 19 (Monday) | 12:00 PM – 12:30 PM ET
  • October 30 (Friday) | 10:30 AM – 11:00 AM ET

The registration form will be available in October.

Note: Mila is a research institute, not a degree-granting university. The SRP helps you find a supervisor affiliated with Mila. Once matched, you will be enrolled in an MSc or PhD program at your supervisor's affiliated university.
