Montréal, April 29, 2026 — Mila is proud to announce a partnership with Aéro Montréal, Québec's aerospace cluster, and Espace Aéro, Québec's aerospace innovation zone. This strategic agreement paves the way for strengthened collaboration between two of Québec's leading centres of excellence, connecting Montréal's world-class artificial intelligence community with Québec's aerospace sector, one of the most significant in the world.
This partnership will offer Mila's scientific community privileged access to concrete use cases from the aerospace sector, accelerating the development of artificial intelligence solutions tailored to the realities of the industry. In return, members of Aéro Montréal and Espace Aéro will benefit from responsible artificial intelligence training opportunities offered by Mila, in order to strengthen their capabilities in this rapidly evolving field. The two organisations will also collaborate on developing broad research directions in aerospace AI, with the goal of positioning Québec companies at the forefront of this sector and giving them a lasting competitive advantage. The two organisations will likewise unite their efforts to organise events bringing together the research and industry communities around AI applications in aerospace.
"Aerospace is a pillar of Québec's and Canada's economy, and one of the sectors where AI can have a transformative impact. Our partnership with Aéro Montréal and Espace Aéro aims to consolidate this strategic advantage by connecting our best talent to the concrete needs of an industry where the requirements for reliability, safety, and precision are among the highest," said Valérie Pisano, President and Chief Executive Officer of Mila.
"Québec’s aerospace sector has always distinguished itself through its capacity to innovate, and this partnership will once again allow us to be an international leader. By combining Mila's expertise in artificial intelligence with the industrial strength of Québec's aerospace sector, we are giving ourselves the means to remain at the cutting edge of innovation, to position Québec as a world leader at the intersection of AI and aerospace, and to maximise the economic potential of our industry," added Pascal Désilets, Executive Director of Espace Aéro.
