Biography

Jeffrey Cardille is an associate professor at the Bieler School of Environment and in the Department of Natural Resource Sciences at McGill University. Using a multidisciplinary approach, Cardille employs cutting-edge techniques in remote sensing, GIS, supercomputing and simulation modelling, and harnesses advancements in computer science. His investigations span a spectrum from regional to global scales, addressing topics like land cover change, forest connectivity and lake carbon content. He was lead editor of Cloud-Based Remote Sensing with Google Earth Engine: Fundamentals and Applications (2023), a comprehensive collection of Google Earth Engine tutorials with contributions from more than a hundred colleagues.
