Brady Neal

Student Ph.D.

I work on fundamental and applied causal inference, advised by Yoshua Bengio and Ioannis Mitliagkas. I am interested in all things causality, so feel free to shoot me a message for potential collaborations. I am especially interested in applications to public policy and social problems. Miscellaneous other research interests: cognitively-informed AI, psychology, deep learning theory, continual/lifelong learning.

During my Masters degree with Ioannis Mitliagkas, I worked in deep learning theory. I wrote my Masters thesis on the need to update textbooks’ bias-variance tradeoff sections.
