Joseph Viviano is a ML Scientist working with Yoshua Bengio’s group on two fronts: helping to develop an ecosystem of open source tools enabling the adoption of GFlowNets, and contributing to research efforts in the area of ML for scientific discovery, with an emphasis on biology. Previously, he worked in applied machine learning research in the areas of uncertainty estimation, portfolio optimization, RNA biology, radiology, and neuroimaging, with a background in computer science, neuroscience, and psychology.
