Following the first edition of the community of practice that took place last fall, we are returning with a similar format under the theme of AI safety.
The objective of this second edition is to strengthen the understanding of the issues surrounding AI safety and to share best practices between academic and industry researchers. How can we collectively develop responsible, robust, and secure AI systems?
This event will explore key questions around AI safety — systemic risks, alignment, governance, and industry practices — and discuss the priority challenges that both the Quebec and international AI ecosystem will need to address in the coming years.
*This event is free to attend, and coffee with pastries will be provided.
Speakers
- Christopher Parisien - Senior Manager, Applied Research, NVIDIA
- Julia Kreutzer - Senior Research Scientist, Cohere
- A representative from LawZero, an organization dedicated to the development of aligned and safe AI
The presentations will be followed by a panel discussion with the speakers, moderated by Simona Gandrabur (Head of AI Safety Studio, Mila).
