Biography
Before joining Mila - Quebec AI Institute as Managing Director and General Manager of AI Ventures, Stéphane Marceau had been building, leading, investing in, and advising tech ventures for more than two decades.
A serial tech CEO, he co-founded and led multiple companies — some backed by venture capital, others by private equity. Along the way, he has also been an active angel investor and trusted board member, supporting bold founders and ambitious ideas.
Stéphane brought the same entrepreneurial drive into senior executive roles at some of Canada’s most iconic corporations, where he pushed the boundaries of how blue-chip companies can grow, adapt, and innovate.
He earned his Master’s in Management of Technology at the University of Waterloo, within the Faculty of Engineering, and his Bachelor’s in Finance at the Université du Québec à Montréal.
