Biography
Jérôme Solis is the Director of Applied AI Projects, AI for Humanity at Mila – Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute.
He leads a project team dedicated to developing a community-driven AI with sustainable social impacts. Together, they collaborate with partners to navigate the discovery, conceptualization and prototyping phases of deploying responsible AI systems.
He has extensive experience in a managing the development of machine-learning based products. He first worked at Element AI, where he helped develop knowledge management products. In 2021, he moved to Ada to help build their AI-powered customer service automation platform. He joined Mila as head of applied projects in 2023.
He has a BSc in engineering physics and an MSc in electrical engineering from Polytechnique Montréal.
