Student Post-Doc, Université de Montréal

Adam Coogan is a postdoctoral researcher at the Université de Montréal and Mila. He develops searches for dark matter in astrophysical data, with a focus on gravitational lensing and gravitational waves. A key theme in his work is using machine learning to solve difficult statistics problems. Previously he was a postdoc at the GRAPPA institute, part of the University of Amsterdam. He completed his PhD on indirect detection of dark matter at UC Santa Cruz and his ScB in mathematical physics at Brown University.
