Biography

Jonathan has spent his career building things that didn't exist before — teams, companies, products and programs from scratch.

He started as a physicist, earning his PhD as part of a professor's inaugural cohort and working as a visiting scientist at Harvard. But the lab eventually gave way to a stronger pull: he co-founded a startup, grew it to 20 people, and raised nearly $10M over seven years. Then he joined another company as its first product hire — because 0-to-1 is too exciting.

Now he leads Mila's venture scientists program, where he works with PhD researchers and postdocs making the jump from science to startup. Helping the next generation of venture scientists.
