Samuel Garcin

Guest, Visiting Researcher

I’m a PhD Student within the Autonomous Agents research group at the University of Edinburgh. I am investigating how Representation Learning methods can be used to improve the generalisation capabilities of Reinforcement Learning agents. This could be when they are applied directly to the agent, or to the training process itself.

I previously studied Aeronautics at Imperial College London, and worked in a robotics start-up after graduating.

I am currently a visiting researcher at Mila, Montreal, under the supervision of Prakash Panangaden and Pablo Samuel Castro.
