Roger Creus Castanyer

Student M.Sc., Université de Montréal

I joined Mila and UdeM for my Research MSc in Fall 2022. I work under supervision of Professor Glen Berseth, who co-leads the Robotics and Embodied AI Lab at UdeM (REAL) in the Computer Science and Operations Research department (DIRO). My work focuses in the application of deep reinforcement learning algorithms to robotics. I am particularly interested in the reward-free settings (unsupervised reinforcement learning), and how can agents derive pseudo-objectives which accomplishment correlates with gaining valuable knowledge from the environment and adopting useful behaviours.

I studied my BSc in Data Science and Engineering at the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya, Barcelona, where I was born and where I lived until I was 22.

Apart from AI and RL, playing basketball is my big passion.
