Jithendaraa Subramanian

Student M.Sc., McGill University

I am a master’s thesis student at McGill supervised by Prof. Derek Nowrouzezahrai and Prof. Samira Ebrahimi Kahou. I am most excited about investigating causal discovery, disentanglement, and causal representation learning for neural networks which would help making models more explainable. I am also curious about learning object-centric representations, and exploiting ideas from causality for better policy discovery in reinforcement learning settings.

Before starting my masters, I was an undergraduate student at NIT Trichy, India during when I was involved in reinforcement learning research as an intern at Carnegie Mellon University. Before that, I worked on privacy for machine learning as an intern at UC Berkeley.
