Mila and Vooban join forces for the development of AI in Quebec

MONTREAL – March 1, 2022 – Mila, the Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute, is proud to officially announce its partnership with the Quebec-based company Vooban. With this collaboration, both organizations aim to combine their expertise and know-how to contribute to Quebec’s technological development.

“We are pleased to partner with Vooban’s team and share the fruit of our research with them. Their expertise and visionary spirit will undoubtedly be major assets for Mila in the years to come,” emphasizes Stéphane Létourneau, Mila’s Executive Vice President.

With its impressive team of researchers, Mila will give Vooban access to the most recent studies and developments on artificial intelligence in Quebec and worldwide in support of its many innovative projects. In addition, this partnership will allow Vooban to hire Mila interns, participate in recruitment activities and attend events and training at the institute. Since Vooban recently opened an office in Montreal – where Mila is located – it was only natural for them to collaborate with a key player in the field of AI.

“We are delighted to join forces with Mila and help promote AI in Canada,” announced Vooban’s Executive Vice President, Hugues Foltz. “Artificial intelligence is a flourishing industry that enables unparalleled technological developments. The time for innovation is now, and our province is lucky to count leaders in new technologies and AI among its ranks.”
