Tiago Salvador

Student Post-Doc, McGill University

Dr. Salvador is a postdoctoral researcher at McGill university and Mila (in Professor Oberman’s group). His main research interests are in computer vision and deep learning.

Prior to joining Mila, he was a postdoctoral assistant professor at the University of Michigan working with Professor Selim Esedoglu on threshold dynamics algorithms for grain boundary motion.

He completed his PhD in Mathematics in 2017 at McGill University under the supervision of Professor Adam Oberman. During his PhD, he worked on developing accurate and convergent numerical schemes for elliptic partial differential equations.

He did his M. Sc. and B.Sc. in applied mathematics and computation at Instituto Superior Tecnico in Lisbon, Portugal, under the supervision of Professor Diogo Gomes.
