Ossama Ahmed

Intern, Visiting Student, M.Sc.

I have recently completed a MSc degree in Robotics, Systems and Control at ETH Zurich. My interests lies in reinforcement learning and optimal control, in particular, my main research goals entail enabling dynamical systems to efficiently and safely learn in real environments where they face high prior uncertainties. I did my master’s thesis at the Empirical Inference Department, Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems (MPI) under the supervision of Stefan Bauer and Prof. Bernhard Schölkopf. Before that, I finished my undergraduate degree in Software Engineering at McGill, Canada and I worked at Qualcomm with the SNPE SDK team for a while.

I currently work under the supervision of Anirudh Goyal and Prof. Yoshua Bengio on reinforcement Learning and causality.
