Gabriel Missael Barco

Missael Barco is a Master of Science in Physics student at Université de Montréal and Mila , supervised by Prof. Yashar Hezaveh and Prof. Laurence Perreault Levasseur . His research focuses on developing novel deep learning techniques for astrophysics and cosmology problems, particularly for the simulation and analysis of strong gravitational lenses. Missael Barco earned his BSc in Physics from the University of Guanajuato in Mexico, where he also completed a Major League Hacking Fellowship in the Open-source track and a Mitacs Globalink Research Internship .
He is also very involved with technical communities and scientific dissemination, being a former GitHub Campus Expert , and current volunteer at Clubes de Cienca México .
