Dr. Trakadis is a Medical Geneticist & Metabolics Physician, Clinician Scientist, Department of Medicine at McGill University Health Centre and Assistant Professor, Department of Human Genetics, Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. He is the Chair of the Canadian College of Medical Genetics (CCMG) Metabolics committee and a Member of the Canadian Clinical Practice Guideline Development CCMG Committee.

Dr. Trakadis is a clinician researcher awarded the FRQS Chercheur Boursier Clinicien mid-career salary award for research on applications of machine learning (ML) in health. His lab has applied ML for the analysis of genomic and downstream functional data from thousands of individuals. More specifically, Dr. Trakadis lab has developed novel ML methods for the analysis of clinical, genomic, transcriptomic, and metabolomics data to enable more personalized medical care.

Dr. Trakadis’ academic interests include the clinical integration of novel technologies and digital health models, with the primary focus being the application of AI to advance Precision Medicine.
