Massimo Caccia

Student, Student Ph.D.

Massimo is a 2nd year Ph.D. student at MILA under the supervision of Laurent Charlin. After a long detour in Actuarial Science, Financial Mathematics and Data Science, he got hooked by Deep Learning. Initially attracted by Recurrent Neural Nets, Massimo started his Ph.D. research in Natural Language Processing.

Later his focus switched to Continual Learning with a particular focus on new methods that could scale subquadratically with respect to the total number of tasks to learn (as opposed to current SOTA solutions scaling quadratically).
